Application processing times
An unprecedented number of applications received by the Board in May and June will result in longer processing times for some applications. The Medical Board and Queensland Health Area Health Services have an escalation process in place which ensures applications for critical positions are processed with priority. General practitioner applications are still being processed within normal timelines.
If you are moving interstate or overseas and require a Certificate of Registration Status (CORS) (formerly known as Certificates of Good Standing (COGS)) from the Medical Board of Queensland a request form is available below.
The Medical Board of Queensland can only issue CORS to other Medical Licensing Authorities or specialty training organisations. For example, the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom, the Medical Board of New South Wales or the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
In order to ensure the document’s authenticity, CORS can not be issued directly to employers or applicants.
